Title: Can't unlock Cool Alien gadget

I have researched reaper corpse and have got a flame glove in my base but I do not get the option to research cool alien gadget. What am I missing? I don't need to also research the obliterator corpse do I as it says I need alien power systems and all this other stuff that seems late game. This is a big problem as I can't get promotion 2. plz halp

Indeed, a reaper corpse is not a gadget, and while a flame glove is, it requires alien engineering to research. But there are many other items which are classified as cool alien gadgets, the most prevalent one being the Psiclone.

Ahhh I see now thanks, I only looked at the flame glove since thats I had gotten.
