Title: Questions about Cydonia

Hello there!
I was wondering some things about the mission in Cydonia.

*Is it possible to modify it to be a day mission?

*Is it possible to make it a 3 part mission? (Something like "Landing near Cydonia", "Assault to the Underground Entrance" and "The Final Assault")

*Is it possible to modify the map to add, for example, a landed Avenger? (One different from ours, just pure decoration)

1/ look at "always day" standard mod for inspiration

2/ cydonia itself is an example, since it's 2-part mission... you just need to define a "next part"... or, you know... look at T'Leth, that's a 3-parter

Cool, I didn't remember T'Leth was a 3 part mission! How to define it?

Look under alienDeployments, there is a definition like "nextStage" or something.

Ostatnio it required a custom Mars terrain or I can use the vanilla Mars terrain?

You can use the standard Mars terrain, you only need to change the mapscript.

Haha well, while I've finished XCOM: UFO Defense many many times, the last time I finished a game of TFTD was in 2015, so I did not remember it. Sorry, Solarius!   :'(

Yes! That's exactly the script. I even can define a winCutscene. ;D

 I was reading a very useful page of the UFOpaedia (I even printed it, caray!), on the Ruleset Reference and in the "Map Command" section it's what you talk about, Meridian. I imagine that the "addUFO" command to add an Avenger, it must be defined as UFOName: STR_AVENGER, is it correct?

I did a quick test and I was able to add the tips that you gave me and they worked! My last question is: where are the missions on Mars defined? I still can't find it's location, to add an additional part. EDIT: D'oh! I just checked again, it's in alienDeployments.  ;D ;D

Instead of the Avenger, I use a Skyrider and It worked. :D

It's awesome, davide! Thank you! A very old, but useful, post.

In my opinion, it could be fit better into a Moon terrain. Maybe a pre-Cydonian mission. Do you know about any lunar terrain?
