Title: Controlling the amount of fire specab: 2 creates?

Is there a variable that controls how often the units: setting specab: 2 leaves fire on a tile that the unit steps on?

I'm not sure if this effects the frequency of a tile having fire produced on it when the unit passes over it, but I have discovered that the amount of damage done to the terrain is dependent on the units: stats: strength: variable.

(Note): High values can inflict enough damage to punch through UFO hulls which can make navigating multi-floor UFOs difficult or impossible without flight capability.

It has been a while (Years judging by the intial post in this thread) since I tried using specab: 2 and it appears that my previous use of the strength variable as a control was mistaken.

I know that in the past I was able control the frequency that tiles were ignited.

Has something changed or is there a different variable that effects this?


At the moment units I create with specab: 2 ignite every tile they step on:

However, I would like them to trigger the "Burns Floor" effect when moving less often like this:
