Post by: Hobbes on January 14, 2018, 01:56:36 am
Area 51 is now available at Transifex - https://www.transifex.com/openxcom/openxcom-mods/content/

Whenever you finish a translation please drop a notification here and I'll update Area 51 with the new language files

Thank you :)

Currently the available languages are available:
- English (US)
- Japanese (it loads on Area 51 but I get an error when trying to upload to Transifex)

Oh, thank you! :)

It seems to be a paid service, so it's not likely that this functionality will be added. Sorry

No problem, thanx your answer!

When you added the translation? More than 50%?

No idea. I guess whenever you or someone else tells me that it is ready - since I don't think I'll ever learn Hungarian in my life, I've got no personal interest. :)

If you don't feel like translating it all, don't worry - your work will be saved through Transifex and someone else, or even you in the future, might finish it.

Thank you!

1) Download the translation file from Transifex (option - "Download to use")
2) Place the file in \Documents\OpenXcom\mods\Area 51\Language\
3) Start OpenXCom/A51 and select Hungarian

A lot easier to test it this way :)

Hi Hobbes,

Would you be so kind to remove any of the strings translated by me from the Russian translation? The reasons for that are explained here - https://openxcom.org/forum/index.php/topic,5246.msg119900.html#msg119900 At the moment, I'm talking about the strings I have deleted on Transifex this morning. I'll review the translation later (probably on the holidays upcoming next month) and probably remove everything that's not unique enough to be considered as new translation and not just minor editing of my own work. Also please be informed that from now on I'll monitor the Russian translation of your mod (just like any other that will follow the same licensing conditions as you have imposed) and will ask you to remove anything that will be similar enough to what I have done so far or will ever do for the OXC community.

Have a nice day,

Truly yours,
Kammerer

Done. The entire Russian translation is gone.

If anyone else feels the same, please remove the translations for Transifex or ask me to.
