Title: X-Com Files - Kevlar Torch Mod
Post by: theshadowscythe on July 04, 2017, 12:52:01 am
Whelp, I've been playing and uploading youtube videos from my let's play of the mod for a while now and in my current episode a thought occurred.

Why is it no guns or (conventional) armors have the option for tacticool flashlights on them?

So after bugging Solar for about 5 straight hours (and several meals, and 2 of my kid's bedtimes) I present the Kevlar Torch Mod.

With any luck, after researching/buying Kevlar armor this alternate option will allow you to use 2 handed weapons while also having blessed illumination on night missions.

It does also mean enemies can see you (and shoot you) too, as it's light level is balanced at 20 (the Mag-Lite is 26) but it's free so you can't complain.

This is my first mod, so peoples lemme know what you thinks please, I might extend this to the Combat and Alloy armors also.

Alternative solution:
Have a mag lite in your quickdraw slot. Move a few steps, then take out the mag lite, then put it back. You can use two handed weapons, and you don't get shot from across half the map.

I usually end up chucking maglights around like flares. A little heavier, but they light stuff up good.

Still, neat mod.
