so I got into discord and I made an OpenXcom server for all of you others out there that want to know.

Chrysilids, oh god
Crazy Alien pests

And why should i register on this server?
As long as it requires registration to write anything, i assume someone just uses it for data collection.

You don't have to. IRC still works.

One reason more to never use it. Same as Steam.

On the IRC i know upfront that things are public.

The forum is different. Who runs the discord server? What happens to chat and voice/video logs etc....

Also what does it at in communicational value? I see none.

I used to run it but I gave control to an admin a bit ago.

Funny, I searched for 'openxcom' on discord and couldn't find it.  Had to use google.
