Title: Finding an Implosion Bomb Launcher?

I've been enjoying this brilliant mod but gotten stuck trying to find an implosion bomb launcher. Is there a particular ship type and faction? I've already taken down cruisers, destroyers and bombers but haven't managed a battleship. Thanks.

There are some portions of the tech tree that are not accessible but part of future content. I cannot recall getting a bomb launcher myself so this MAY be the case.

Bombers can drop them. It's random chance whether they drop that weapon over something else though.

I think battleships can also drop them. Can't remember the loot that cruisers and destroyers drop.

Just did a bit of ruleset diving:

You get them from battleships and bombers.

It depends if engines explode or not; so yeah, it is random, since you can't catch any of these ships on the ground.
