Title: Reporting a bug
Post by: Mathalor on February 15, 2017, 05:54:24 pm
I'd like to report a bug, but I'm very unfamiliar with the bug tracker, and don't know how to tell if it's been reported already, past the last month that is displayed on the bug tracker's webpage.

Specifically, some of my heavy plasmas and mind probes have gone missing after successful missions.  They were not destroyed in explosions, but some were used on the last turn of combat.  I was running version 1.0.

So, I should reinstall the game with the nightly version, replicate the bug, and skim the reported bugs over the last three years in the bug tracker.  How do I do that last step?

Hi Mathalor,

Welcome to the forum!

If you can reproduce it on nightly, report it.
I don't remember any such reports in the past, so feel free to skip the last step.

Cheers

if the bug is reproducable in the nightly you only need to skim over the bugs that are currently marked as "active", there's only about 20-25 or so

I'm reinstalling, using the latest Nightly build, and following this guide:

https://www.ufopaedia.org/index.php?title=Installation_FAQ_(OpenXcom)

I cannot find the "shaders" folder in my copy of xcom, which I purchased through steam.

Is this something that I find somewhere else, or is it in the universal patch?

Is there a patch, like the universal patch, for terror from the deep?

"shaders" and any other content from "common" and "standard" is part of openxcom, hence it is perfectly normal you won't find it in your steam copy.

Regarding the universal patch for TFTD. As far as i know it is not yet available.
