Beginning from 0.4.1, X-Com dogs are a type of a soldier, which means they also need names! So if you want to contribute, please submit popular dog names in your country, or otherwise notable.

How about notable because I have a dog with the name? 'Ace' would make a great XCom doggie agent.
Some other possibilities:
Rex
Spot
Lassie
Rusty
And because you should have a few like this:
Mr. Snuggles (who doesn't want a big cuddly attack dog?)

Rex (with an x) really needs to be in, here in France (and probably also German-speaking countries) it's THE stereotypical dog name, especially for a German Shepherd working as a police dog. There's even an austrian 18-season cop show called "Inspector Rex", from the name alone you know the star is a dog.

Garfield - Because its a cats name and will confuse people. (I actualy know a dog called that by the way.)
Also: Tibbles, Bone, Pudding and BonBon (Yes these are real names some people have given dogs - I once had a part-time job sending out Dog Ownership renewal forms for the local Council while studying at Uni.)

I just had a barking session with my dogs (and their friends).

Again, problem of localization... In French she's spelt Laïka.

Well... I haven't prevented them from doing so, yet. That's because I don't have Martian environment in the mod yet, so in fact you can go there wearing a t-shirt. :)

As for Russian names - add Kesha (as a tribute for my friend's dog who died this summer).
