I want to bring the head above the rest of the clock face , then pocket out the details ( mouth , nose holes and eyes) , if all goes well i think i will make a floater one also.

On the plus side once i got the shape i can pump out as many as i want ;)

Looks very nice.

Is this a friendly reminder of how long it takes me to put out each version? :P

"Is this a friendly reminder of how long it takes me to put out each version? :P"  Well it could not hurt to make you one :P

That was done on a piece of reject MDF , if i can find enough strong cutters i will make it in Compact laminate but that is a very hard surface it work with . https://www.polytec.com.au/compact_laminate IF i keep it simply like this then compact is a option as i wont snap any cutters doing this but if i raise the head above the face a couple of millimetres i will need to make it in 2 pieces and attach them together..... So many things to work out yet :)

Well , i am still having trouble getting my router to do the fine detail i want but i have started playing around with a prototype and am looking at colours , tomorrow i will go shopping at the craft shop  and look for what colours they have for the text, at worst you can get almost anything in house paint these days.
