Based on an idea I had some time ago, here's a torch. It's a light source like the electro-flare, and you can use it in melee to set enemies on fire.
The balance is very experimental, I chose 75% fixed chance of success and a time cost similar to the handle. It relies on OXCE's ability to set a damage type to "gun melee", otherwise the item would only be able to do melee damage, and it would miss the point :)
I made all graphics from scratch. Everyone is free to use and re-use for anything.

This mod is really good. I wonder why it is not distributed with the piratez download like the other mods.

Awesome, setting people on fire using a torch.
10/10, would use again.

Need some more info in the description i hope :) And of course, it should be useful against unarmored folks, right? :)

Actually, fire bypasses the armor stat.

Basically, you can expect (statistically) 6HP lost per successful swing, then if the unit is set on fire, it suffers 7 HP per turn.
Fire resistance affects both of the above.

I didn't include that only because a non-animated torch hand sprite would look really awkward (and it's impossible to make it animated).

and it's impossible to make it animated
For now! :D

I have ;P In Extended 3.0 you will be able change item graphic on whim. On top of that I added option that items in hands can generate light, this mean by default you would see nothing in night missions until you grab torch and ignite it.

Exactly what I meant! :) I'm waiting impatiently for this feature, because it'll be wicked.
