Title: Where are the save files located?

Im trying to find the save files. I can't find them ANY. WHERE.

The obvious questions are "what OS" and "how did you install openxcom"?

if it's winblows and "using the 1.0 installer" then the answer is
C:\Users\Bollocks\Documents\OpenXcom\xcom1

Alternately, search "*.sav" on your system.  It should return all your save files.

Ok nothing told me the save files are not saved in the application folder but in documents.

That's how it's supposed to be, regardless of how installed... The exact folder in your user folder is a different matter. Bit user files belong nowhere else than the users folder...

I'll use this opportunity that in Microsoft whoever decided that saves should be located at some enforced folder on C: should be slowly consumed by a pack of Silacoids.

I have accidentally deleted a post from a new user today... fat finger on a phone.
