Nothing new... I for one tend to recruit soldiers in order to replace such ones. If you are equipping all bases with 10 soldiers with psi strength > 59, you will see that quite frequently, as you will need approximately 25 soldiers in order to get 10 with that specs. So with 8 bases à 10 soldiers you will recruit 200. Your chances are, to see around 1-2 are with psi strength = 0.

Interesting that that happened to a soldier named "Sectoid Commander"! What are the odds..

I'm curious though, why do you name soldiers after enemies?

I named them in honor of the Floater Commander who panicked and killed himself with a Blaster Launcher on a Battleship assault.
