Title: Batchconvert *.gif to *.png files
Post by: hellrazor on August 19, 2015, 07:21:12 pm
Does anyone know a safe and secure way to do this under Linux?
Useing imagemagick convert always results in fucked up palette data :-(

And since there obviously are troubles with *.gif files for Mac OSx users, i wanted to convert all Sprites used in my Hardmode Expansion Mod into *.png with correct palette.

Maybe imagemagik (https://www.imagemagick.org/script/index.php/), or gif2png (https://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/utopic/man1/gif2png.1.html), but then the formes appears to be tricky in the usage, the second peraps mah be avaiable only for Ubuntu. :-\

Actually i was able to do this pretty quickly with falkos Sprite tools.
Which are excellent.
They also give you the ability to extract *.png sprites out of PCK Files from the original game, awesome stuff!
