i noticed there is movement type 3 in xcom2 rulset which i suspect is fly in water but not on land. this was the original ion armor behaviour.
could we have also movement type 4 fly on land but not in water? unless is already implemented. just minor modding feature. just a sensible feature that allows for units/armor to work both ways.
that's all

Have you looked at how movement type 1 works in TftD? Is it "fly everywhere" or just "fly on land"? Either way, I guess it would be nice to have the full set:
0 - Walk everywhere
1 - Fly (on land or everywhere?)
3 - Swim in water
4 - whichever one 1 isn't
Although of all 4, fly and swim is the least important I guess, but it would be good for end game super/iron man type movement that fly everywhere.

just purely a modder feature. just saying if it works one way the reverse should also be valid.
2 is slide( snakemen and are the only unit using this)
1 i think is fly everywhere . but i am not sure. if 1 is fly on land only then we still need the other one. 1 would be fly everywhere though because for example sonic displacer can fly both on land and underwater. there is no unit in any xcom that flies on land but not in water so hence the reason this wouldn't exist.

Ha, I didn't know that.. Good catch! I never used tanks much.
The missing type indeed should be a "fly only on land" one then.

yoo warboy just added movement type 4 :) but i'm not sure if related to this or something else.
read the github commit and is indeed fly on land otherwise if at depth just walk instead. that's pretty cool .

Pretty cool :) This opens up many possibilities...
