Hi guys, I'm starting this thread as a place where I'll be posting various stuff I'll be able to conjure with my golden button marked "MAKE GRAPHICS".

For starters, here's a little recolor of well-known and liked Combat Armor. It was peeving me that the shoes and sleeves are gray while the trousers are brown. So I've made a standarised brown uniform for said armor. You can see and download it from downstairso:

Good work with the sprites! I don't know if you take requests, but I will ask anyway.

Can you make a version without the badges on the sleeve, for the Inventory Image, unit sprite, etc, if possible? I want to use them for my mod that I am making for OpenXCOM.

I hope that I'm not asking too much.  :-\

Also, can you do other colors?

I do not generally take requests (unless they're fun), but I might add more colors later (I'm thinking 1. reverse - woodland camo uniform + brown armor, 2. SWAT - black armor on dark gray uniform, any more ideas?). As for removing the badges, not worth the effort imo - anyone can do it pretty easily, and even if he does that poorly, it won't look all that bad, since the badges are small.

As for today, I'll throw some weapons bigobs.
1. Multi-Shot Grenade Launcher. Reworked Shadow Warrior sprite by 3D-Realms. No magazine yet, I hate drawing these things :)
2. Super-Shotgun. Reworked Alien Shooter: Vengeance sprite by Sigma Team. The magazine made from scratch, looks bad, because, see above.
3. Heavy SMG of some-kind, reworked X-Ops sprite for weapon and the clip.
4. Colt M1911 by myself, the clip is a reworked X-Ops sprite.
5. Reworked Snubnose Revolver sprite, made to fit 1x1 square (taken from the Final Mod Pack, not sure who is the original author), the loader unchanged, added for completeness' sake.

Well, I did it! Insignia-less Mercs, using your sprites. I'll try to finish the rest of it.

For colors, maybe black armor with grey sleeves, representing urban splitter camo.

Would you be cleaning up a Longsword and Electro-Claw bigobs? I think they were converted from somewhere else and got those greenish pixel artefacts in a process? Electro-claw handob got some green pixels too. Or are those WAD?
Also a Tiny Drill picture in ufopedia.
It`s nothing major though.

No, not a conversion, I was simply such a crappy pixel artist that year or so ago :) The green pixels are the result of palette having very little in the way of bright-yellows; since I've learned that in UFO, you need to go with orange instead.

Yeah I think the Claw at least deserves some repairs, people are using it I guess, it's simply a sore thumb :)

That is a pretty sweet grenade launcher. And yeah. UFO Defense really needed a better yellow. The battlescape colors have like two oranges for some reason and the only yellow is kind of orange too.

Some stuff today - a generic XCOM female corpse (details like blood and badges not included), a green Hi-Explosive, plus a couple of weapons- GM-94 Grenade Launcher (comissioned for FMP) and some electro-mace thingy I'm not sure what to do with.

Time to brush off this thread. Another resource - sprite for MiG-31 Interceptor, for the 'real man UFO challenge', where it would replace the Interceptor. 20 damage cap (jetfighters really can't take Plasma...), and 1750 knots speed. The best extreme-speed interceptor the real-life humanity had since 1970s... and still the best in 2015.
F-22/Su-27s could complement it - with speed of 1200 Knots and worse weapon loadout, but some Dodge and +5 Health, so they could try swarming UFOs and maybe survive for a bit.

A Ruleset for a tech-green recolor of the interface (sample below). Might be useful for some mods (like XOps maybe, unless he made his own version already :) ). The grid is made of color 15 so it would never clash with the item sprites (this color is never used for items, as it would bug out the Pedia entries). Do not mind rank image, Amiga font and paperdoll, they're not included :)

Wow, please may we get all these weapons/stff in the above screenshot for download/use in/with other mods! Hey that assault rifle is very fashinating to me (the first from the left right beneath "ground" word)  8)

It's all in X-Piratez, available for everyone... The assault rifle you mention is a modified version of KingMobs' work (Equal Terms mod).

wpukd be nice to have also for the sake of the newbie to be downloaded and used as a standalome mod (named dioxine arsenal) maybe the "piratesque" stufv may be taken out, so it may be used also with other mods :)

A version of that red cannon is indeed included amongst the massive arsenal found in XPiratez.
