I was in the middle of a game and hit around mid-game - it all went tits up and games crashed, can't enter battles etc. I must have some conflicting mods etc etc.

Can anyone recommend me a bunch of mod that are known to work together and I'll start again :)

Are you playing 1.0 or nightlies? if so which version of the nightlies?

Well the XAE (xcom armory expanded) mod contains a lot of stuff and works together.
Picking and choosing, I like Modest Rebalance, Equal Terms 1.0, Body Armor, Human Plasma Weapons, and of course the new UFOs/New Terrain mods. I also found one on the forum that reverse the progression of lasers, making heavies a bit more useful, and giving more time for the new human weapons to be used.

most if not all of the single-object type mods will work fine, even in conjunction with each other.

After trying out a bunch, I'm sticking to Alloy Tanks and Air Combat Rebalanced (though I modified (https://openxcom.org/forum/index.php/topic,2552.msg37699.html#msg37699) that last one).

I would say Final Mod Pack, but I guess the map part of it is having issues currently. Otherwise a great combination of a lot of good mods.

I know it's been a year, but I just read this thread and would like to ensure everyone that FMP is working perfectly well and more stable than ever. :)

Shadows - Terran Plasma Weapons (on Mod Site), My Optical Elerium Weapons (Here (https://www.openxcom.com/mod/optical-elerium)) and My X-95 Blackbird (Here (https://www.openxcom.com/mod/x-95-blackbird)) are ok mods - They seem to work with most things.
