Checked from many locations worldwide - all the same.

Hello, yesterday I tried to go onto the mod site and I couldn't go onto it. I asked other people I know in other states and they could not go onto the site ether.

Please get rid of this 'service' - it's doing more harm than good by blocking entire IP ranges for no apparent reasons.

I am kinda surprised there was no other thread about the mod portal being down. It has been like this for like two days.

I was hoping it was temporary. I have been like a junkie combing the forum for the mods that people posted links to so I can get my mod fix.

Just so you guys know, we don't actually run that server, it's a fan-made site, and there's not much we can do about it. you need to get in contact with Jo5hua, not us.

Yeah, I wrote him on Skype a couple days ago, but there's no answer. We must be patient.

So.. We must all individually contact him to enable our IPs? Or is it a global problem where once it is fixed, it will be for everyone?

o'right was wondering about this for a while now, thought it was a problem on my end, hope it gets resolved was hoping to have a play with the mods and tools.

Hi, I'm new to the site; I recalled reading about the OpenXcom project a while ago and was surprised to find that it had passed 1.0. I bought the copy of the game through Steam a while ago but, needless to say, I am excited about this Open version, both for all of the expanded features and the access to mods. I went to download the game, presumably from the downloads tab, and received the same error as for the mods download page, so I am not sure as to how to get the game; I understand that the mods server is down, but does that server also host the main download? Or am I just misunderstanding the structure? Thanks for any help.

I'm not sure what we are doing differently, but everything works for me..

I only tried the windows installer link since that's the most likely OS to be used. It did prompt a download. Did you have issues with a different OS?
As far as I know, the game install is unrelated to the mod portals (which only hosts mods).
