All right, since actually as far to my knoledge aren't in the wild out there any modding tools, for linux, maybe someone may tell that i'm mistaken?
Ufopaedia.org (https://www.ufopaedia.org/index.php?title=Game_Editors#XCOM-specific_tools_.28including_TFTD.29) reports that Bomb Bloke (https://www.ufopaedia.org/index.php?title=User:Bomb_Bloke) user has lots of mods in his page, but i'm afreind still no way for linux ones, sadly. Anyone may confirm?

Bomb Bloke tools are written in java so they should work in linux
