Title: Rookie? I've been on three missions and killed a Sectoid!

Also, I know what you're thinking. It wasn't with a grenade. It was with a laser rifle.

Promotions in X-Com have always been kind of screwy. The game rushes to fill certain positions in the platoon, then once it's satisfied that there are enough squaddies and sergeants it gets really stingy. That's been my experience, anyway.

Are you sure the kill was not a civilian on a terror mission? Civilians killed by mistake will still be shown as a kill

It turns out, amusingly enough, that the kill was friendly fire  :o :'(

XCOM should demote someone if they kill a friendly  ;D

Haha, she must be proud with those stats :D

Quite funny that it counts friendlies and civilians there too. Never thought about it, but now I could rise the kill counts more easy  ;D

Anyone who gets a kill becomes a Squaddie though. Well, a legitimate kill anyways. :P
