I've installed the latest build and now most of the texts changed to str_something like str_ironman, str_half_display, str_current_format and so on.
Build name is openxcom_git_master_2014_06_19_0540.zip on Windows 7 sp1 machine.
Ed: Reason of this issue is the language i use. Switched back to English to fix it.
-
I got that issue too. But it only occur when im installed so many fanbase mods. Im not sure which one trigger that thing. Without fanbase mod i've found zero issue so far :).
It has nothing to do with standard mods list.
EDIT: The version i used was 1.0
-
Nope, all mods are disabled. I added the options.cfg as well.
-
Try delete option.cfg in my document/openxcom. Maybe that help. Maybe ::).
-
Ok, i found the issue. It's not about mods or anything but the game language. When i changed it to English (US), it's fixed.
-
I see. Maybe the issue that i've seen is because language problem in some mod.

Have a look at translation site
https://www.getlocalization.com/openxcom/
Perhaps some of translations are missing in used language
Feel free to create an account and propose your own translation (if unique, it will be automatically chosen)
Beware it may take some time before seeing voting/translating effects in future night builds
-
Hmm, there are no untranslated strings. The thing is those broken texts were just fine before updating my game.
-
Take a look into openxcom.log file (https://www.ufopaedia.org/index.php?title=Installing_%28OpenXcom%29#Log_file), there must be some clue on it.
-
This happens sometimes, when new strings are added to GetLocalization. For some reason, automated build fails to synchronize all the strings. The missing strings are simply absent from the language file temporarily.
It will most probably fix itself with the very next nightly. If not, it'll probably require some manual nudging from SupSuper. It has happened before. Nothing to be concerned about.
Edit: The hourly language files are up-to-date now. Download this if you cannot wait for the next nightly: https://openxcom.org/translations/latest.zip (https://openxcom.org/translations/latest.zip)

Oh I don't know, perhaps it's the fact that few modders is able to include all language versions in the world in their work? :P

It should be fixed in the following nightlies. When all else fails, just remember:

I don't mean that. I always use english in every game. Maybe the issue occur bacause miss coding/miss typo. None of us is perfect ;). Anyway total all language in the world is about 100 right? I think it's possible but required a tons of works :P.

Actually there is around 7000 languages in the world, though most don't have their own OpenXCom version yet. :)
And if it's English you're talking about... Well, all modders I know include an English version, though it's usually US version only, and sometimes it's GB version only. This can be checked easily by looking at the ruleset, even for a layman; look for extraStrings section (usually at the end, though not always) and see its subsections.
