Title: Getting started with development
Post by: zokni on June 17, 2014, 12:25:03 am
Hi everyone!

Well, firstly let me introduce myself.
I'm Zokni, student of ELTE University in Hungary. I was looking for an open source project to join in - while the AI of the original XCOM was turning - when I find this project. So I visited its website immediately, and now I am here.

However I have some experience as C++ developer, my ears are as green as the grass in contributing open source projects. So in this way I would like to ask for help how to getting started with development.

Thanks for help,
Zokni

Hi,

There's the IRC channel (https://openxcom.org/forum/index.php?topic=63.0), where you'll find all your answers and more. :)

hello and welcome to the forums, i'd recommend the thread on Getting Started with Git (https://openxcom.org/forum/index.php?topic=715.0) and reading The Coding Guidelines (https://openxcom.org/forum/index.php?topic=181.0) as a starting point, and as for where to cut your teeth on the code... that's up to you.
