I think the extended options are great, but why is there no way to enable globe seasons anymore? Still need to go to options.cfg for that.

We are cleaning up the more obscure Advanced Options, as they confuse new players. If you still need it you can just use the "options.cfg", you only need to enable it once.

Well, I think this is a quite neat option.
I know how to enable Globe seasons in options.cfg but many others do not.
Why not enable it by default?
The purists can deactivate it but i guess the majority welcomes realistic day/night phases.

Seconded, this feature isn't obscure so much as it is a pretty glaring oversight in the original game
