We have major changes since 0.9. So may be release RC or intermediate version 0.9.5 or something? Users and maintainers from OS distributives can try out new changes before main 1.0.

I believe the target for 1.0 was extensive modding support, which seems to be something like what's in the most recent nightly builds...?

I believe it's mainly stability. There's a to-do list somewhere here, but I don't feel like looking for it ATM.

we're in preparations for 1.0 already, we're just fixing a couple of usability/stability issues based on feedback while waiting for translations.

By waiting for translations what do you mean exactly? There is a bunch of translation projects that are nearly done. Do you have a target for how many new languages you want for 1.0?

SupSuper`s UI update "broke" the translations, so he probably means waiting for the translators to catch up on the changes. This is my guess though ;p
