Title: The Multiplayer Game
Post by: Angelus_EV on February 20, 2014, 02:20:20 pm
well here's the idea I have:
the game is something like a campaign, TFTD is another, some will play at all levels of difficulty and then ....?

My idea is to integrate the concepts of:
Rebelstar, Laser Squad and Xcom to make a multiplayer game:

* Multiplayer for 2-4 players
* Possibility to play vs the ai
* New simpler maps with obstacles as "arenas"
* Primary troop:
                                 2 assault unit
                                 1 sniper unit
                                 1 heavy unit
* Affordable:
                                 1 Doctor unit
                                 1 psi unit
                                 1 Terror unit

2 Wins = Doctor unit
5 wins = psi unit
10 win = Terror unit

awards points every battle is won or lost, the points spent on stats,

somewhat like this:

Time units ------------------------ Asault / terror unit
strength   ------------------------ heavy unit
psi power ------------------------ Psi unit
etc.
* no geoscape screen maybe a chat room (like warcraft 3 on battlenet), then equip squad and battle
* the soldiers sprites can be from xcomue, tftd and "new"
* the squad can be filled whit ani race even mixed races
* are welcome sprite and map modders
* can be implemented by teams colors

maybe you can implement to login with forum data

please don't copy that system, the best is a pre ruled map zones to be deployed as a squad, no randomly no user choice able
