Title: zombification as property of item not unit
Post by: moriarty on February 02, 2014, 12:56:20 am
...so I guess that means we can have chryssalids with melee attacks that zombify AND (for example) acid spit attacks that do not zombify? sweet!

i guess, although as living weapons they only use one weapon so it's one or the other. you can of course make a second chryssalid type that spits acid and doesn't zombify, but then, you could do that in the first place.
what it DOES mean is that you can have a snakeman with an impregnator rifle.

oh, bummer ;) I thought it might be possible to have more than one "living weapon"... the sectopod could also do with a secondary weapon - that's another thing that I think xcom2012 got right ... :)

Some of the terror units in TFTD have both melee and ranged attacks, so I don't expect this limit to remain forever  :)

Exactly! So, is it possible to have a terror unit like a Triscene which has a living weapon (bite) and a non-living weapon (cannon)? Or make them both living weapons, to the same effect?

The Sectopod should be able to "headbutt" troopers as melee, maybe even an instant kill... XD

How would you feel when a giant heavily armoured robot hits you? ;)
