Title: Red Dawn accuracy

It seems a little over the top, my guys are on the complete opposite side of the map in pitch darkness shooting with sniper rifles, and the Red Dawn guys apparently have no trouble counter sniping them with AKs. That'd be a very unlikely shot with rifles like that for my +100 accuracy guys even if they could see the target.

Are they actually counter-sniping or just burying you in lead? If you play the lottery enough times, you're bound to win at some point. Only Red Ops and Coordinators have moderately good accuracy, the rest are just as bad as pretty much any other cultist.

And, well, reports of Sectoids sniping your soldiers through three windows, and around a corner, using a plasma pistol, in pitch black darkness, with one hand tied behind their back have been around forever. :P

Counter sniping. They are firing aimed shots from AKs and have killed two of the four snipers. They haven't fired many shots in total.

Can you post a save? This sounds like an interesting thing to take a look at.

Also, what version are you playing?

And unfortunately I finished the mission, but this is a thing I've run into pretty consistently so I'm sure I'll have another chance to post a save.

I've recently toned down the sniping aspect on the Red Dawn. You can try the unreleased 2.6 version on GitHub.

Certainly not before the next OXCE release. Then we'll see.
