The Secto-Suit unit is as its name implies a Sectoid inside a mechanized battlesuit or mech.

It features two large cannon arms and despite the bulky weaponry remains a 1x1 unit that can fit through doors.

Based on the UFOpedia "HelixPsion_CPAL.png" image from Solarius_Scorch's "The X-Com Files (https://openxcom.org/forum/index.php/board,21.0.html)" and the "Hybrid_Examination.png" from the amusingly titled Bootypedia of Dioxine's "X-Pirates (https://openxcom.org/forum/index.php/board,18.0.html)".

There are three units. Each one has been tailored to a different one of the figures in the those UFOpedia entries.

I've previously tried to create a Sectoid Floater which was released in the "Sectoid and Mogeko unit pack (https://openxcom.org/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=5097.0;attach=48897)" however the movement animation was a bit strange.

This is a version with much better movement that also features the a Floater like chest cybernetic implant.

Here is a weapon image pack that is based on the images posted by Bonakva in this thread:

Admittedly it is a little goofy, but I think it turned out alright.


To make the lights flash on the sides of the unit it needs Yankes's script to animate armor placed in the unit's armors: section.

Here is another new unit, the "Sectoid Probe" (or "Aquatoid Probe").  (Please feel free to change the name to suit your style.)

This pack contains three images sets. 1 for X-COM: UFO Defense and 2 for X-COM: Terror From The Deep.

The unit animates when stationary and the sides strobe when moving, it also includes a small (1 frame) electrical discharge when it attacks.

To make this work correctly it requires a blank HandOb to be used when the unit is firing and it will also need Yankes's script to animate armor to be placed in the unit's armors: section or the unit will not display the additional torso animation frames.
