Hi Everyone,
I have Windows 10. Years ago, I bought XCOM 2:TFTD from Direct2Drive.
It downloads, installs and plays just fine.
However, I cannot use Hex Edit Cheat codes, or XCOM2EDI cheat function. Even the creator of XCOM2EDI tried to help me, but could not.
1. What cheats can I use, with Windows 10?
2. How do I use extra programs, to create cheats for XCOM2 on Windows 10?
I just miss XCOM 2 TFTD, from 25 years ago, in my childhood.

Just to clarify: are you talking about playing TFTD on OpenXCom, or simply playing vanilla TFTD?
-
1. I am talking about playing regular TFTD, on Windows 10, using the Direct2Drive (not Steam) engine.
2. When I was a boy, using DOS, I could play TFTD easily.
XCOM2EDI was the cheat program.
3. However, even though XCOM2EDI is now open source, with password and all, it does not work on Windows 10.

How do we implement XCOM2EDI (or any other cheat) on Windows 10?
I am a novice, so I do not know how to use DOSBOX, etc.

You might want to swap over to OXC and learn save editing here, as in OXC the save files are just yaml text files.

Since this is DOS editor and You don't know how to use DOSBox it's easier to use Windows editors. I'd recommend two - X-Com Hack 3.1 and X-com Editor. Both work under Windows 10, albeit I recommend to set compatibility mode for Windows 7 or XP Service Pack 3, and You can download them from here:
