Title: Improved Tanks during a plythough?
Post by: yhe1 on May 14, 2020, 05:43:02 am
I am in the middle of playing a campaign for the final mod pack. My human tanks appears to be too weak. Therefore, I went and enabled xcomutil's improved tanks option. However, the stats on my tank didn't improve. However, on the mod menu it shows the improved tank mod as enabled. Is there a way to make my tank better? Thanks!

You could try the "Alloy Ground Tanks (https://openxcom.org/forum/index.php/topic,3106.0.html)" mod by CryptoCactus.

I remember it allowing the construction of tanks that are a bit stronger and I think it works with final mod pack.

I guess the real question is, can you toggle those xcomutil mods on/off in the middle of a game?

Usually yes. I suspect this one will just make your new tanks strong. Or not work at all with FMP since FMP adds new tanks, and the improved tanks mod just changes the stats of the original game's tanks directly.

figured it out. Need to move the tank mod under the final mod pack. Works fine with the minigun/Tank.
