had an idea about prison just like labs
Base building Prison 10 people with Human service
Improved prison Animal pen add 10 people with animal service
Advanced prison add 10 people with alien service
Ultimate prison add 10 people with ghost service
At the end you have a prison that can store 40 people that can be either humans, animals, aliens or ghosts

Or havng separate facilities: respectively called "prison" for humans and "alien bastile" for aliens :?
-
in fact it's a tentative to gain space in a 36 square base.
Stacking prisons seems a good idea.
My idea of prisons also increase the usefulness of prison whatever the missions of the month are: Supposed you have plenty of A Red Dawn mission with a level 2 prison you can stock 20, a chupacabra invasion (just an exemple, don't try to bring them all alive) you can still store 20, you don't have unused place.

Frankly I don't understand how exactly it's supposed to work. Which prison would keep which unit type?

Its like science labs work.
You can use all for anything, but you have to meet the prequisites first.
E.g. with "advanced" you have 30 slots for anything of human/animal/alien, but can't store ghosts. With ultimate you have 40 slots, and can store ghosts too.
IMO a lot more efficient in usage than the current way of things.

It could be done on paper, but that's not how the game is written, and we can't overhaul it just for this. And I think the current system is clearer anyway, and better paced - why would you require having the tech to keep aliens alive in order to keep ghosts?
