Hi, from the vanilla game, fires from a fire type weapon burn a tile for two turns, is there a way to make the fire burn for more than two turns?

Fire duration depends on how much "fuel" does the tile have... not on a weapon.
If you want longer fires, you can change the fuel attribute of the map tiles, see https://www.ufopaedia.org/index.php/MCD (offset 57).

Oh well, scratch that idea then, I thought it was weapon base. Thanks meridian.

Is there a way the fuel attribute on the struck tile could be altered when the weapon hit it?
Or would altering something like that effect all tiles of that type thus making it impractical?
