Right now, the inventory screen only has a "scroll right" button when looking at a stack of items on the floor that is larger than one screen. I guess it would be quite easy to add a "scroll left" button to allow scrolling in both directions.
-
Good thought, but right-clicking already does it.
-
Just tried it in battlescape. Right click doesn't scroll left but exits the inventory. So there is still room for improvement.
-
Right-clicking only works during deployment. If you access it during the battle it indeed closes the inventory screen.
-
Use shift-click, it works in all cases: https://openxcom.org/forum/index.php/topic,5768.msg98708.html#msg98708
As for why not adding a button... we need the space for Item descriptions.
PS: please do not call threads "UI improvement"... nobody will ever find it anymore... why not calling it "[Suggestion] Inventory button - scroll ground items left" ? That way we won't have at least a 5th duplicate of it already.
-
Ups, my bad. I actually tried right clicking+modifiers (including shift), but i think i got confused as to the order of items on the individual pages :P
Indeed, this works as intended.
BTW, i have not been able to find a documentation for all added/changed features, including stuff like this. Is this feature actually documented anywhere? I've probably missed something obvious and apologize in advance for asking dumb questions like this.

I took the liberty of renaming the thread, I hope I didn't go beyond my line. :)

First few posts.
This change is there as well, search for "2018-07-05", it's a few lines below that.
It's not great, but it's the best I have... for now. Improvements planned.
