"Right click" on "Next soldier" and it goes back to previous soldier. With a lot of squad to manage, it would be helpful.

i use the back/forward buttons on my mouse, personally (although i know not all mice have these)
that said, you can bind hotkeys for next and previous soldier
-
Their are actually predefined ones:
"TAB" - switch to next own unit
"SHIFT" - switch to previous unit

Secrets, secrets
24 guys and I have been clicking through them all
Everything there in the "Controls" under "Game Options"
While "right click" might be more instinctual on that "Next" button,
those shortcut keys will help mightily once I memorize'em.
thanks all!!!

You can go into inventory to go back one. I used that to find my blaster launcher guy out of 29 soldiers and 6 tanks on a base defense mission. I just rapidly clicked next soldier until I saw that blaster launcher, of course I skipped right past him, but I went into inventory and went back one.

Thanks, keeping that in mind for the person who has the hidden goodies in their backpack..
I still use the arrow in the main interface but since I learned about the keymapping; I move ahead with the arrow and when I overshoot past someone I have interest in, I press the key to flip back to that person, usually looking to see who I have not moved yet based on their TU's
When playing the original game to check my old saves to transfer over, it is really hard to play that as, for example just to have the keyboard move the map in tactical makes the original very undesirable by comparison, as there it can only be done wiht the mouse, however, if it were not for the original, we would not have this delight that is OpenXCOM

This is available in OXCE+ (since 20th January 2016) already.

Hmm, the criteria for that it getting into OXC ?
Then again why am I not playing OCEx+?
BTW I discovered when I right click a hanger or alien containment, it brings up the equip craft or whose on ice screens respectively, NICE. I use it quite a bit now.

Absolutely undefined.
SupSuper usually says "no" or "oxc has enough buttons", Warboy usually says "maybe" or "why not".
I'm confused and stopped trying.
Only thing I'm pushing upstream are buxfixes... and even those only if they don't even remotely smell like any QoL improvement at all.
If that's good or bad is anyone's guess.

QoL I gather is Quality of Life, which is why I'm playing this and not the original game, for example, being able to use the keys to scroll the map; and just discovered on the base information area, a sum of all the maintenance fees across all bases.
No matter, I can see why "feature creep" is a concern hence the alternate OXCE and OXCE+ series.
As it is, OXC in my view, has succeeded marvelously in delivering the original game experience to a wider audience as well as to those who enjoyed it under DOS. I gather there will always be points of "QoL polish" under discussion.
