Title: TFTD slide show cutscenes?

If for some reason I wanted the cutscenes to be the slide show version (it does have context-giving text captions which the FMV version lacks), how would I switch to that?

Hello.
You need installed Floppy version of TFTD. Size of this version about 12-14 Mb. Make sure that in TFTD folder you have folder FLOP_INT (there placed static images *.LBM for slideshow), and does not exist folder ANIMS. If there ANIMS, OpenXcom will try to start animated version.

Renaming folders is the only way?  There's no in-game option?

You can switch the Video Format in Options > Audio (yeah it's a weird place :P).
The slideshow files should be in all versions, but the Windows version does not have music for them.

Now if only there was a way to add the slide show's text dialogue to the FMV cutscenes...
