What have you come up with?

step 1 get flight capable armor. Step 2 fly to map upper z limit. Step 3 fire in general direction of ufo hull. Step 4 enjoy carnage.

Warning do not attempt against craft smaller then a frigate. Map is to small for safe usage unless your target is bigger then one map chunk(ie frigate or bigger)

Sacrificing a parrot for better targeting might be a good idea

So, business as usual. :)

I just saw this myself. Holy crap, the numbers on  that thing; if it wouldn't put me so far behind financially this early in the game, I'd try to spring for one just to see what it would do.

Fifty tiles. How big, really, is fifty tiles? Are we talking "obliterate half the map" territory here?

The stated radius is about the distance from one side of a player base to the other. In a straight line it will reach that far. However due to square blast radius it's diagonal reach is significantly smaller.  Anything under 10 from the impact point poofs unless it's UFO outer hull which poofs for sure at 8 and under. Mind this with base damage. 50%-150% calculation applies.

Is there actually anything in the game that can survive a direct hit, even at a 50% roll?

Only one thing off the top of my head - a Baron of Hell from a Dark Ones mission.  Concussive resistance plus 250 health means it has a possibility of surviving.

Let me paste this relatively recently changed line:
Code: [Select]
      health: 666

So there's a use for it - clear everything in a Dark Ones mission but the baron, and have yourself a good matchup in your newly created hellscape.
