There is a crappy space pirates B-movie "The Ice Pirates" which somehow captures the spirit of the mod, not exactly though of course ...

That's a nice old movie.... saw it a couple of times before. I think I'll be watching it again :)

There is this other movie: Daemonium (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iai988NJGis) - a spanish film - starts with a girl in sexy school uniform fighting zombie-demons. Oh, turns out she is a synth. Like piratez, this movie has it all! It is on netflix.
