Title: Re. 1.0 Mod Conversion to 2.0
Post by: stan on December 20, 2015, 05:00:57 pm
Hello To All
I am successfully running the latest nightly and several mods, including the very excellent UFO Redux.
I do have a question about using older mods with the latest nightly and what their new folder structure should be.
What do you do with folders that originally did not go into either the ruleset or resources files?
For eg. I really like the XCOMEU Sound Mod, but you can't put it into the OpenXcom/UFO/SOUND folder.
The mod is just loose .ogg files, would they go in a Documents/OpenXcom/mods/XCOMEU Sound Mod/Resources folder?
Can anyone please explain the the new mods folder structure to me?
I hope my question is clear :)
Thanx to all replies and Greetings from Virginia.

Hi stan! yes, actually you may run a 1.0 mod on a very latest non-milestone version (nightlies), it's all written in the ufopedia (https://openxcom.org/2015/11/new-installation-faq/). So many request about that matter meaning tha the game gains every day much more users! Good to know, on the other hand, i strongly advice you search on the homesite and the forums before opening a new thread  ;)
