Title: Trouble Installing Nightlies on Yosemite Mac
Post by: RushianSyrinx on September 06, 2015, 01:44:32 am
Hi all,

Big fan of the work anyone and everyone has done here, so THANK YOU!

I'm having trouble installing the nightlies.  I thought I had followed all of the steps outlined here...

I downloaded OpenXcom 1.0
I downloaded the Nightlies found here - (For OSX builds) https://bitbucket.org/grrussel/openxcomosx
I copied the UFO/TFTD files into their directories as per instructions here - https://openxcom.org/forum/index.php/topic,3617.0.html

I go to open Xcom and I get a DOS screen stating something about "SoldierName/"

Any clues?  I thought I followed the steps, but I can't seem to get it.

Thanks!

delete 1.0, don't even bother with it.
delete everything and start fresh with the nightly ONLY.

I'm at a loss at how I run the program then?  I've downloaded the MAC nightly and in it is an openxcom unix file, but it says failed to open common.

I have attached a file listing of the OpenXCOM on OSX directory structure for the nightly builds (with TFTD data only + .ogg remixed soundtrack)

I run OpenXCOM as

george-russells-imac:bin grrussel$ ls
TFTD      UFO      common      openxcom   openxcom.log   standard
george-russells-imac:bin grrussel$ ./openxcom
