Per the subject.

Would make these significantly more useful.

How would you determine the preferred target ? If your character is standing on a piece of staircase and facing a tall wall, there's no way to guess which wall you want to destroy (level 0 or level 1).

Does the hammer in Dioxine's Piratez not have the ability to destroy walls?

Despite its look and feel, that hammer is actually a shooting weapon with range: 1. That's why you can't use it on diagonals and that's why you can destroy terrain. It's a clever use of the game's engine to do what you want despite it not really being possible.

Smashing enemies with a hammer also improves your firing accuracy :D It's excellent on gals who can't aim for their life as a first training weapon.

Smashing things with a hammer also improves your firing accuracy :D
When you hit a hostile target, yes. Not when you simplify the scenery.

yes you can make a weapon with melee type damage and max range of 1 and will mostly behave like a melee weapon but with the added bonus of destroying terrain object. from my experience there were a few issues  vs regular melee mode. i can't remember know but i think ramps or elevations tend to extend the damage. also i think you can shoot right below or above you.

the only issue is melee skill does not apply by default to such a weapon since is listed as range and i am not sure if you say skillApplied: true even works on a 1 range weapon that pretends to be melee.
