Sorry if this is a dumb question but I have used UFO from UFOGold version and installed it on a VMware XP box. I used UFOsaved game editor, which I love, to edit everything. Saved it all.....
Now here is the question....Can I take that save game(multiple files) and move it somewhere in the OpenXCOM directory and be able to play it??
OR was this feature only meant for earlier version of OpenXCOM save games?
Thanks,

Wow
thank you guys for responding
One more question, where do I put the old savegame files at?

Saved games are in the OpenXCom folder in your "Documents" folder, if you're using Windows. On OS-X, look in the Library folder, in Applications Support.
If you like tweaking the save game, the OpenXCom saves are just plain text. Real easy to tweak your funds, inventory items, and soldier-stats if you drag it into a text editor. ..I'm not sure what capability your current save-editor has.

To clarify a bit further, the GAME_* folders should be in the folder where your saves are. Your saves are in your "user" folder. TKO gave the locations, but for further info on the folders, see https://github.com/SupSuper/OpenXcom#directory-locations
