Title: [OSX] [Solved] Cannot Locate Save Game Files

Hey guys,

Really enjoying OpenXCom. I'm using the OSX version and moved to a new OSXand I cannot locate my save games to take them with me. Please help, I've already looked in Library > Application Support > then I can't find any supporting files for OpenXCom.

Had to enable hidden files

do a search on your system for .sav files.  It should find them.  They will be in a "user" folder.  I'm not sure where that is in OSX, because I've never driven a Mac. ;)

Off the top of my head it's under application_support/openxcom which I think is in the user/library folders.

Hey guys,

Fixed my issue. It was exactly where everyone said it would be except I had to enable hidden files on my OSX.

Out of curiosity would transfering .sav files from, say, a laptop to my home PC still be as simple as just inserting them in? Or would it not be carrying over research progress and such?

copying .sav files is dead easy..  the only catch is that your mod environments should match if you try to run a save on another computer as it saves mod configurations in the save files.

Yeah my X-com data would be the same on both my laptop and my PC. So my research progress would be unchanged then?

yep research progress is recorded in the save.
