Can't find Psi stregth improvement option.
Its mention in Open Xcom entry in ufopaedia site.
https://www.ufopaedia.org/index.php?title=Options_(OpenXcom)
Am I suppose to go into the options section in the game start screen? Or from the Geoscape? Battlescape?
I think I've looked under every possible combination of those paired off with looking under 'Options' and 'Mods.'
Was the option removed?
Anyways, I appreciate any help.

check your config file
-
1st, thanks, and um how do I find the config file?
-
In the options, under "advanced", go to the battlescape section. Isn't there something about "Allow Psi-Strength Improvement"?
See below:
-
No, there isn't.
-
update to the latest nightly.

I'm fully aware this is a remedial question, but when I extract the file, where am I extracting it from and where exactly am I sending it?
On the from part, can I unzip from C:\Users\Kurt\Desktop\openxcom_git_master_2014_11_19_2320.zip\ and send the whole unzipped file to C:\WIN 7(C:)\Program Files\OpenXcom\Data\
There's a reason why I always use installers.
Thanks for the help, Warboy

It's cleaner to :
1) unzip in a totally new directory
2) move the directories GEODATA, GEOGRAPH, MAPS, ROUTES, SOUND, TERRAIN, UFOGRAPH, UFOINTRO from "data" of the milestone install to the "data" of the above directory
3) uninstall milestone
Settings and saved games will not be lost, because by default they are in "My Documents"\OpenXcom
-
send it to C:\WIN 7(C:)\Program Files\OpenXcom\ and make sure to extract the whole archive.

1st, thank you for your responces Warboy and y-something or other.
2nd, I know I'm doing something wrong. I've extracted the file several times, and I now have sub folders named openxcom in both the main openxcom folder and the data subfolder. I'm guessing I need to somehow copy the info to the various folders, but I'm not 100% certain how to proceed. So I'm feeling rather cautious. Please advise.
3rd, What the hell is a milestone in software speak? I know what physical one is. I looked up what a software is (something about a pre alpha version), but it didn't make sense given the context:
1) unzip in a totally new directory
2) move the directories GEODATA, GEOGRAPH, MAPS, ROUTES, SOUND, TERRAIN, UFOGRAPH, UFOINTRO from "data" of the milestone install to the "data" of the above directory
3) uninstall milestone
Are you telling me to move the data from the orginal folder to the recently made folder?
-
oh, sorry, forgot there was an OpenXcom folder in the archive...
send it to C:\WIN 7(C:)\Program Files\

> What the hell is a milestone in software speak?
An important moment. "v1.0 milestone" was a released in June, it was considered feature-complete, with nothing "started but not finished", and as many translations as could be made.

Warboy, I got it to download and now I can't play any games. I tried my old saves, new games, New Battles, and I've tried switching the psi stregth improvement on and off. Nothing works.
I need to check my posting history on what I did last time to fix a problem like this.
yrizoud, thanks for the info.
UPDATE: Found my 1,0 version, reinstalled that version, game working, obviously no psi stregth improvement.

where is openxcom.exe located?
-
Not 100% sure, but there seems to be one located on my desktop, its shaped like cd.
I looked for it via a search of my files, can't find a solid answer.
