Tried to install automatically, and manually, no success.
-
does this happen on startup, or when you do something specific? It looks like you're using windows. What version?
-
I am using windows 7 ultimate, happens on startup.
-
Yes, I have been getting the exact same error as well. Tried manual as well as the installer on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit with a Freshly installed version of UFO Defense from Steam. I originally had it installed in a SteamLibrary on a separate drive from C drive, then transferred the game over to my regular Steam library on C when it didn't work. Finally, tried a manual install to no avail. Still getting that message... Any help would be appreciated... maybe I just need help having the obvious pointed out in front of me...
-
Guess I'll just have to go back to playing Enforcer...
-
You know what... I think I may of thought of something. I am pretty sure Windows 7 Ultimate likes to make a lot of folders "hidden" and "read-only" and other such things... I will be back...

Have a look here (https://openxcom.org/forum/index.php?topic=2688.0) or here (https://openxcom.org/forum/index.php?topic=2632.0), as it is often due to installation
And if ok now, could you eventually change title of your thread to mention it is SOLVED/CLOSED, so that dev team do not spare time if not needed :)
