Title: Importing Saves

All of the talk about creating a hybrid game and it's technical difficulties made me think of alternative solutions to creating a sense of continuity. Importing your save from EU to TFTD.

In my mind this would only need to take the ranking soldiers of X-Com and place them in your TFTD game with maybe some kind of aging penalty (for a sort of balancing I guess?).

Anyway, I think this is a good idea that no one (I saw) was mentioning, so I thought I'd make a topic for it. Do you guys think this is a good idea? What would you like to see in a feature such as this?

Simply changing soldiers' stats and names to mirror your UFO game would be easy enough, with a dedicated tool or even without it.

I don't think it would apply to the hybrid game issue in any meaningful way. But sure, this can be done.

Changing their rank would be just as easy, right?
