I have a question about to modding the Date of Geoscape.
It is possible to edit the Date from 1999 to 2014 ?

The file is Xcom1Ruleset.rul but it is not recommended that you change the contents of that file but create instead a new file that mods the existing Xcom1Ruleset. To make it easier I've done it for you: simply download the zip file and extract it to /openxcom/data/Ruleset/. Start OpenXcom and in the initial menu select options, Mods, and choose the Year_2014 mod at the end of the list. You can edit the date by manually editing the .rul file using Notepad.

Let go a step further: make game always starts in the current real-life year and month (but not day, because of funding and that)
