I wanted to add something in the Differences to X-COM wiki page, but I have some doubt, so if somebody can confirm it :

ordering 40 engeneers = 2*10^6$ at 27 OR 31.jan => 4142$ on 1.feb
ordering 40 engeneers = 2*10^6$ at   1.feb => 5142$ on 1.feb
buyprice is 2*salary

Thanks ^^ I thought this was important because veteran UFO players are likely to lose a lot of money before they notice the difference.

Well, considering that they are in transit to a secret base somewhere, they are technically hired, and they must get paid.
