Title: Opening doors, losing TUs
Post by: LouisdeFuines on March 03, 2014, 09:22:03 pm
Hi, there,

in TFTD you could open doors without walking through them and losing TUs.

In OpenXcom you lose TUs for this. Would it be possible, to make this optional (losing TUs)?

(Yes, I know, it is more relastic, but what will then happen in OpenTFTD?)  ;)

doors actually DO have tu costs, built into their data. if anything this was an obvious bug in TFTD, so i'm not sure why we'd want to replicate it.

IIRC doors DO cost TUs to walk through in TFTD.

But you could (also IIRC) right-click to open the door (for free) and then pass through it.

which is clearly a bug.

That is, what I was talking about: Just Opening the door meant no loss of TUs.

I don't see why it wouldn't though, it's a bug so unlikely to get implemented. Although it's nice that in OXC you can open doors without walking through them.

I agree with that points of views.
