Title: vector::_M_range_check error
Post by: johnny on January 17, 2014, 08:11:27 pm
hey guys,

sometimes when i am in action (mostly on terror missions), i got the vector::_M_range_check error and my game shuts down.
i dont know where the problem could be, maybe you can help me with that?

i installed the last nightly build.
the only changes i made were the interceptor with troops for tact screens exactly as described here:
https://openxcom.org/forum/index.php?topic=668.0

plus the three mods here:
  - CombatKnife
  - CustomGrenades
  - GrenadeLauncher

i attached the sav game for those of you who are interested.
thanks for your help!

cheers,
johnny

assuming you get these range check errors when a chryssalid dies, it's because you're using data from xcom 1.0. get the 1.2 and 1.4 patches from strategycore and apply them.

If there's some reliable way of detecting data files versions that are certain to have known problems (checksum?), a warning message on game startup would be nice.

hey,

i used the game version 1.4, but it seems that the interceptor was the problem.
when using skyranger or lightning, i got no problems.

thats sad, i really liked that model. i will test the small firestorm model to see if that is working.

cheers,
j.
