Title: Alien personalities? - Aliens with names?

The Expansion on MechCommander saw specific enemy units with names that made them quite distinct.  You know, maybe there may be some elusive aliens with names?  So far its 'kill the generic alien commander' all the time.  I wonder whether the game system even has a similar morale system if you kill the alien commander. 

Imagine if there was some recurring story element?  Maybe the Aliens kept cloning "ZzZ" the alien commander who popped up now and then....  Might make things interesting...

...  MechCommander gold...  I enjoyed it, wanted to play it again but then theres fallout 3 with expansions, and fallout new vegas with expansions... colonization civ 4...

*Sigh*

No time... But I enjoy a good ol' game of panzer general 94' more than many new games...

A Sectoid named Paul, also wearing pants.
A green Sectoid named Zim.
A super strong Muton with cloaking ability called Predator, maybe as a lone alien in a terror site? XD

I really don't think a telepathic race (Ethereals, Sectoids, Mutons - that last one one-way only) even needs names at all, as they recognize their psi patterns. And Floaters probably just have numbers, since they are virtually military equipment with small brains.

Seriously though, this reminds me of Spartan: Total Warrior. You kill several hundred or Romans or other mods per level, and every one of them is named. Every one.
This is the kind of morbid awesomeness I wouldn't mind seeing in games.

I don't see why after Xcom researches all of the alien genetic stuff, they can't make human-snake hybrids... :P

Or Human-Chrysalid hybrids! A real horror for the aliens... XD
